Community Engagement Specialist
Lexington’s business and community development department has a new and exciting opportunity for a Community Engagement Specialist to join our team of committed staff and furthering our mission of providing excellent services to persons who have developmental disabilities. S/he will facilitate business and inter-agency partnerships and develop new opportunities for community inclusion, in addition to coordinating special events and public relations opportunities.
The successful candidate will preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field, with 2-4 years experience in community and business development. Proven experience with public speaking and graphic arts design and technical proficiency in Microsoft design products and the use of other social media.
Lexington’s residential department has an exciting opening for a Program Director to join its leadership team. S/he will manage the operations of approximately 15-20 residential programs by providing direct oversight to 2-3 Assistant Directors, approximately 12-15 site managers, and over 200 direct support staff, with a fiscal budget of over $10 million.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and have a minimum of 5 years working with people with disabilities, or a specialized degree that qualifies the person as a Qualified Mental Retardation Professional. Demonstrated leadership abilities, and working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations governing OPWDD, budget administration, and human resources management is necessary. OMH and DOH program experience is also desired.
